Day 85 Food to go

24th October 2017
The rain continues, so it’s on with the sweater.

I started work on the zombie chairs seeing what was holding them together. Once the seat was removed, I could see the joints must have been bonded with Dracula spit that had dried out, so I re-fitted and re-bonded the rails.

Earlier we had delivered the furniture that we moved out Farmgirl into Lakeshore. From what was still there, sales must have been quiet, not a good October.

A trip to Lowes to stock up with sandpaper meant I could complete the top to the oak dresser we bought at the weekend.

It was good to see the pictures of the space at Farmgirl, the transformed Fido’s Coffin and the four drawer dresser take pride of place.

I am always amused at the way Kelli has to prepare food for even the shortest journey. It is like we’re going on a great adventure, there is a small bag of apple pieces, cashews nuts, a tub of hummus and some crackers. The car sometimes looks like the inside of a supermarket trolley, with food and water bottles squeezed between the seats.

The problem is, I now have expectations that there will be food, on any trip, and I start to feel hungry even before we get to the end of the road.

I am a practical person, I love making things, and especially working with wood. I appreciate good design, music and food.
