8th November 2024
It was range day, the weather was crisp and sunny just right for some target practice.
For me it was not a good session, I seemed to be all over the place, whereas Kelli was a bit more consistent. Anyway it was fun, and certainly not a result that would send me in a spiral of failure.
Afterwords we had to meet up with James our armorer, he had another thousand rounds for us.
Yes, it sounds a lot, but it will last us six weeks of practicing.
Then we had to get home to get the dresser and side tables ready for collection.
The buyer was expected later, but as usual there were last minute tweaks that needed to be done.
The back panel didn’t fit properly, so a bit of refitting was required.
I had to remove the last of the dirt pile that was blocking the drive, then did a bit of leaf clearing to make the place look decent.
The time for the buyers came and went, we had planned to go out for dinner with friends, so we weren’t very pleased as the time ticked by.
In the end we made the decision to pack the pieces away. Kelli had left numerous messages that had gone unanswered, and we had a few more interested people lined up, so we didn’t feel so bad.
Later we had a message that the person had problems getting a truck, one of many excuses we’ve get from time to time.
We had fun at the restaurant with Scott and Karen, who is actually a distant cousin of Kelli, how strange is that.
There was a young lad with his mother on the next table who had the largest burger I have ever seen.
I wondered how he would be able to eat such a thing without dislocating his jaw, but he persevered.
I had to congratulate him afterwards, he appreciated the compliment.
