Day 2722 Mind games?

27th January 2025

We had to deliver the tall dresser to a “Cottage” on the north side of town. This cottage, once we found it was pretty big, with a fabulous view of lake Macatowa. The place was being renovated, so the owner were not living there. One of the contractors helped me negotiate the snow drift leading to the front door. This a typical weekend retreat costing upwards of $10k per year in property taxes, nice if you can afford it.

Then we drove round to Lloyd and Nancy to take round the small desk that we have been unable to sell. Kelli had planted a seed in Nancy’s mind about it from a few weeks, suddenly it matured and she wanted to see it. Of course once it was in her room, she placed it where it would go, and it was sold.

Whilst we were there they showed me a damaged dining chair that they wanted fixing. One of the mortise joints had failed, not a difficult job, so I loaded that into the truck, along with a small table that they had no further use for.

All this driving left us very little time to do much work, but Kelli was determined to paint a coffee table base, and a three drawer dresser, which she did, both of those should be finished tomorrow.
