The cedar chest was picked up this morning, alway a good start to the day.

It was sunny but cooler than yesterday, again up and down, never sure where it wants to be.
But it was a good day to start the yard work.
I wanted to start a bonfire to get rid of all the dead stuff, and our bin is full, so burning is our only option, but where do I do it? The fire pit is too small and I don’t want a burnt patch on the grass, so I had to think pragmatically.
Up at the far end of the garden, where the compost bunkers are located, was an old wheelbarrow, it was full of stinky water, old leaves and pebbles.
“That will be ideal” I announced triumphantly, it meant tipping out the smelly stuff, and finding a place to store the pebbles, once that was done the fire could commence.
it didn’t take long for the fire to start burning all the old leaves and long grass stalks.
We worked our way down the flower beds until we were both exhausted, but the garden was starting to look respectable again.
We have lots of wild flower seeds to sow at the front, and we are going to introduce white clover to area of the front lawn. I have not been happy with the state of the grass for a while, there are thin patches that I have tried to reseed, but it has never worked so this is the plan B. Clover attracts bees, so that should be good for the environment, and keep Kelli happy.
