Richard, the Structural Engineer arrived on time, he immediately surveyed the property, as I went through the various changes I wanted.
He had a lot of local knowledge, and was open to alternate ideas.
At the end of our meeting, I felt that something was now going to happen.
He had not heard of any of the builders I’ve been talking to, but then related some horror stories of some disasters that he knew of.
I always like good stories, but not at my expense.
To celebrate, I decided to take a trip to the dump, and get rid of the trunkful of stuff I had been carrying around all weekend.
I did a second run to get rid of more rubble, and stained my back lifting the sacks over the railings.
