Day 1230 Don’t touch anything.

23rd December 2020

The buyer for the grey dresser didn’t materialise, “It was the wrong size” she said.

A little disappointing, but we move with the punches, and we have two more in progress.

I had to do a repair to one of the drawers, whilst Kelli primed the carcass.

We then drove to Grand Rapids to drop Greer’s and Dylan’s Christmas presents off. It was agreed that we would leave them at the front door then retreat back to the truck whilst they opened them.

They live in a dodgy area of the city although I didn’t see much evidence of that. There were no burnt out cars in the street or bodies in the gutter. All I noticed were cars with super loud rap music thumping, creating sonic waves long before they turned the corner into view.

It made a change from collecting furniture, it felt like we should have stopped to pick something up, but around this place I’m not sure what we would have “picked up”.

Although we hadn’t really touched anything, we still felt the need to wash our hands with sanitizer, many times.

I am a practical person, I love making things, and especially working with wood. I appreciate good design, music and food.
