Day 1247 Rubbish.

10th January 2021

Another day out, this time a drive to Allegan to pick up a half finished project piece. The term “project piece” usually refers to a piece of crap that a person had started and never got round to finishing it.

It was waiting on the porch when we arrived, and it was a little smaller than I imagined, and yes it was a pile of crap.

We joked that I could probably carry it down the steps on my own, which is exactly what I did. One reason it was so light was one of the drawer bases was missing.

Could we turn it into a desirable piece of furniture? Heaven knows, we have had worse.

On the way back we stopped off at both Goodwills hoping to find other things we could work on, but the shelves were bare.

I started painting the under structure for the dining table, hanging the legs from the garage door track to make it easier.

It was another sunny day, but a lot colder, my nose was running like a tap.

I am a practical person, I love making things, and especially working with wood. I appreciate good design, music and food.
