It was strange not going to see John today, there were other things going on that needed my attention. We had to deliver the large dresser around lunchtime, and I was dreading it.
It is one of the heaviest pieces we have had for a long time.
The loading and the delivery went exceptionally well, the lady was delighted with it, and even gave us a tip, that was a rare experience.
The red dresser was due to be collected this morning, and I got breakfast going especially early, but it was a no-show with a weak excuse, but it’s a cute piece, I’m sure it will go soon.
Kelli had to take her mother to a doctor’s appointment, but I had a fire to light. I had tubs of offcuts to get rid of, so this was an ideal opportunity to get the fire pit working.
There was plenty of smoke to start with, if any one complained I would blame Canada.
Then I had to finish cutting the plywood for the big green island’s back panel.
Winnie was being a pain, although each day she seems to be in a different mood, but today she was a terror.
I did get angry with her, and banished her to the cage. I needed to get work done, and I kept getting interrupted by both dogs barking at each other.
But, I did what I set out to do, the fire was smouldering well into the evening, and I managed to prime all the panels for the island.
