Day 3325 Cash in hand.

23rd September 2016

There was a bit of activity in the garage today. First we had a lady turn up to collect our latest dresser, at a knockdown price. These Dutch people know how to haggle, Kelli is far too soft, because she would rather have a sale than not.

Later a lady from up the road came down to look at the cupboard unit we had. She was looking for a piece for extra storage, and this would work for her. I would make an extra shelf and it would be painted yellow to match other pieces she has bought from us in the past. She also paid up front, so a bit of cash came into our hands. I got on and laid up the timber for the shelf as well as sanding the  carcass ready for painting. Kelli got the first coat on before we finished for the day.

I started to drain the pool, it was a sad occasion, we were hoping for one last splash, but the forecast wasn’t favourable.

I had a repair to an arch. Some of the support tubes had rusted away, so I spent time fitting a spigot into the broken pieces so that I could slot them back together. I’m sure it won’t be long before the other side fails then it will be scrap time. In between all this, I did more scraping, this time it’s the fiddly details, there are many of them.
